His career began as a Certified Public Accountant in the Phoenix office of Ernst & Young. Dan won two awards for his writing while in law school, and he was named Business Editor of the Arizona Law Review. After graduate school, Dan worked as a business transactions and real estate attorney in a large Tucson law firm. He eventually moved to Phoenix and opened a law and finance practice in 1997.
Building on his own entrepreneurial ambitions, Dan started retail business, known as Arizona Wildwear. This was a multi-location, brick & mortar, as well as internet based retailer of officially licensed NCAA collegiate clothing and gift items. Dan successfully grew this business over the course of ten years, and sold it in 2008.
One of Dan’s passions is helping non-profit charitable organizations. Dan has served on many non-profit Boards and Finance Committees. He has served as General Counsel to Arizona Baseball Charities since 2000, and he was recently re-elected to his second three-year term on the Board of The Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Dan is highly skilled in non-profit finance, governance, fundraising, and endowment management.
